Caroline Ogden-Jones Peter was the daughter of Suzanne Bartlett and her first husband Mahlon Ogden-Jones. Suzanne Bartlett later married sculptor Paul Wayland Bartlett. Caroline Peter inherited the work of Paul W. Bartlett upon her mother's death in 1954 and later distributed his work to various museums and institutions across the country.
